Welcome to our 8 week lesson plan. You can follow along and earn your certificate here or on your phone. Each lesson has a video with step by step training directions. Even though it looks like you are not doing a lot the first few weeks, we continue to build on the commands as we go. Training needs to be easy and not time consuming. It should take no more than an hour a day. I usually try to limit the training exercises to 30 minutes of concentrated work and then use the rest of the time to play with my dog. You can go for a walk, throw a ball, run around the yard, and so on. Doing dog training at home and not in a large group setting means that you can start your puppy at any age. A lot of training facilities now require your dog to be fully vaccinated and spayed or neutered to start their training programs. In order to socialize your puppy when it gets older, I recommend that you find a play group at a local dog park or daycare facility.
